Alec Bohm stepped up to the plate in a big way last week and today he took home the Sub League 2 Player of the Week honors.
The Stockton third baseman ripped opposing pitchers for 13 hits in 25 at-bats and 1 home run. He put together a sizzling .520 batting average as he knocked in 4 runs and scored 8 times.

Today the Sub League 1 announced the Player of the Week Award. This week's honoree is Henderson's talented right fielder Alan Simon. When he steps into the batter's box, it's usually a bad omen for pitchers.
For the week Simon batted .520 (13-25) with no home runs and 3 RBIs.

 | Sunday, April 9th, 2034: 5-Hits Blitz by Villanueva
It was a good day all around. Seeley Lake whipped Tulsa 12-8 and José Villanueva displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day at Ballpark of Seeley Lake.
"Some days, lady luck is on your side," he modestly told SION reporters after the game. His manager told the beat writers otherwise, "His hitting wasn't luck today. It's his solid approach to hitting. José is focused, patient and he hits to all fields. The more solid at-bats you put together, the more success you're going to have, and vice versa."
The 23-year-old second baseman for the Regiment collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats to get his name in the record book.
J. Villanueva singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off V. Lawrence in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, walked in a run in the 5th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off J. Unknown in the 9th.
Thus far this year Villanueva is hitting .389 with 2 home runs, 12 RBIs and 9 runs scored. |
