This week Sub League 2 pitching was a feast fit for a king and Felipe Rojas really made the most of it -- ripping them royally. The talented New Ipswich hitting machine produced a sizzling .484 batting average, no home runs, 15 hits in 31 at-bats, 7 RBIs and 6 runs.
That kind of hitting earned him the SL2 Player of the Week honors.

His lightning swing and solid bat took the Sub League 1 by storm. All week Ben Valentine of the Hightstown Steamboats shocked opponents with an electrifying performance to capture the Sub League 1 Player of the Week honors.
The talented third baseman sparked his team by hitting .469 with no home runs, 4 RBIs and 9 runs scored.

 | Sunday, April 9th, 2034: Holder On Fire! 5-5 for Estes Park!
"It was almost like batting practice. I saw the ball very well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted." That's what Estes Park left fielder Pat Holder said to SION reporters after his fantastic 5-5 day against the Augusta Hound Dogs. "I got some good counts and used the whole field."
However his sensational day wasn't enough. The Hound Dogs won the ballgame 11-8.
The disappointed Holder said to reporters, "I guess you can't always have it all." He added, tongue in cheek, "I guess it's better to go 5 for 5 and lose than it is to go 0 for 5 and lose."
P. Holder singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
So far this season Holder is batting .324 with no home runs. |
