2033 was a fine season for Detroit third baseman Fernando Tatis Jr and it was capped off today when it became official that he had won the American batting title with an impressive .350 mark.
In 151 games he piled up 218 hits, 58 doubles, 6 triples, 1 home run, 81 RBIs and 130 runs scored.

| Sunday, October 2nd, 2033: Thomas Belts Bunch of Base Hits
Lane Thomas really sizzled at the plate today. In a game played at Tiger Stadium, the Detroit center fielder blistered the Baltimore Orioles for 5 hits in 6 at-bats to pace his club to a 9-3 victory.
"Thomas was too tough to get out today," the Orioles skipper said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too."
L. Thomas singled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run triple in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
So far this year Thomas is batting .358 with 10 home runs, 53 RBIs and 53 runs scored.

| Saturday, October 1st, 2033: Detroit Rookie Star Sparkles
Detroit center fielder Lane Thomas snagged the American Rookie of the Month Award for September.
He posted a .388 batting average last month and collected 45 hits, 3 home runs and 20 RBIs.
To date Thomas has chalked up a .349 average with 10 home runs, driven in 49 runs and scored 51 times.
