 | Tuesday, July 4th, 2034: Super Swinger! Bellinger Slams 5 Hits! Cody Bellinger put on a hitting clinic today as the White Sox dumped the Orioles 10-7 at Comiskey Park II. The Chicago first baseman sprayed hits all over the ballpark by lashing Baltimore pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the game. He told SION reporters after the game, that he just hit it where they pitched it. "Too often I try to pull the ball too much. Today I just went with the pitch." C. Bellinger singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 7th, flied out in the 9th and hit a three-run home run off R. Rice in the 11th. This year Bellinger is hitting .315 with 21 home runs and 73 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .358 clip and scored 52 runs. |
