Coaches are perusing the newly unveiled season schedule, and players around LBSQ Single A are starting to get their minds set on the long grind ahead. It might just be the preseason, but baseball is in the air!

 | Saturday, September 18th, 2032: SL2's Best Hitter for 2032 Named
Donovan Bradford, Arlington's outstanding second baseman, took home the Sub League 2 Outstanding Hitter Award for 2032.
This season he put up some strong stats, including a .338 batting average and .376 on-base percentage. In 84 games he piled up 113 hits, 26 doubles, 4 triples, 13 home runs, 56 RBIs and scored 67 times.
This weekend the SBWA will host its annual awards dinner and all of the major winners will be there to receive their trophies for their outstanding achievements this past season.

 | Saturday, September 18th, 2032: Mike Melton Takes Best Bat Trophy
"Words can't express how it feels right now," Mike Melton said today after being named the 2032 Outstanding Hitter Award recipient. "It's an honor to be named among the other great players that have won this award."
Melton smacked opposing pitchers around for a .338 batting average and .417 on-base percentage this year, tallying up 43 doubles, 4 triples, 25 home runs, 116 RBIs and 87 runs scored.
He will be honored by the SION Baseball Writers Association at its annual awards dinner this weekend.
