Wednesday, March 21st, 2029: Blue Jays Center Fielder Injured
After injuring himself, Blue Jays center fielder Ben Gamel headed straight to the hospital. Monday, January 15th, 2029: Baltimore Trades Brooks to Toronto for Whitney
The rumor has been going on for a while now, but today it was made official. The Baltimore Orioles sent 31-year old right fielder Bubba Brooks, 24-year old left fielder Alex Simmons, 18-year old minor league first baseman Jared Walsh and a 2nd round draft pick to the Toronto Blue Jays for 33-year old starting pitcher Larry Whitney.

Officials from both teams seem to be pleased with the deal.

During his career Brooks has hit .293 with 830 hits, 91 home runs, 466 RBIs and scored 407 runs.

In his career stats, Whitney has won 135 and lost 80, collecting 869 strikeouts and 529 walks in 1896.1 innings with a 4.61 ERA. Opponents have hit .278 against him.
Thursday, November 9th, 2028: 5-year Contract for Pina
Fans hailed the signing of Manny Pina today as the Toronto Blue Jays catcher came to terms with the club.

Set to make $71,250,000 over the upcoming 5 years, Pina signed primarily out of loyalty to the organization, thrilling the most diehard supporters who think there isn't much loyalty in a market driven by free agency.

Lifetime Pina has compiled a .285 batting average and collected 1024 hits, 255 home runs and 846 RBIs.
