Monday, September 11th, 2034: Rodriguez Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits
At Turner Field Julio Rodriguez was the King of Swing today in the 12-2 win over the Astros.

The Atlanta left fielder stepped into the batter's box 6 times against the Houston and delivered 5 hits.

It was a sensational game for him. He excitedly told the press, "Unbelieveable feeling. Unbelieveable. It felt good. It felt great. What a day! 5 for 6! It does wonders for your batting average, too."

J. Rodriguez struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.

Rodriguez is currently batting .302 with 22 home runs and 100 RBIs.
Monday, August 21st, 2034: Cleveland Deals Salinas to Atlanta for Cooper
The rumor has been going on for a while now, but today it was made official. The Cleveland Indians sent 20-year old minor league catcher Luis Salinas to the Atlanta Braves for 32-year old center fielder Brian Cooper and 28-year old reliever León Gallegos.

Officials from both teams seem to be pleased with the deal.

A look at his season totals shows Cooper with 4 home runs, .261 BA, .366 OBP, 18 RBIs and 42 runs scored.
Sunday, August 20th, 2034: Red-Hot Williamson Cools Off New York
The New York Yankees struggled at the plate today against Braves hurler Bobby Williamson, who shackled them on 2 hits while hurling a complete game 5-0 shutout.

"What can you say? We didn't hit well," said the Yankees skipper in his postgame comments.

"Hopefully we shake this off and bounce back tomorrow."

Williamson finished the game with 6 strikeouts and 2 walks in an excellent mound performance.

"He pitched real well," his manager said. "Bobby made pitches when he had to. He hit his spots and did a great job of mixing in his changeup and using his fastball effectively."

So far this season Williamson has a record of 8-4 with 86 strikeouts and 90 walks in 121 innings and a 6.55 ERA.
