Breaking News | | Saturday, July 12th, 2031: Cincinnati's Castillo Down with Injury The Cincinnati Reds were dealt a serious blow when the team learned that Javier Castillo was likely to be out for 2 weeks after he injured himself running the bases in today's game against the Montreal Expos. A round of tests by the team doctors revealed the injury to be a strained abdominal muscle. Upon learning of their diagnosis, the Cincinnati manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries--they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Javier is back in action."
This season Castillo is batting .343 with 66 RBIs, 74 runs scored and 25 home runs. | | Tuesday, July 8th, 2031: Lambert Goes 6-7 "Ever since I picked up my first bat my coaches were always saying to keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing... just make contact and ya never know what'll happen," Ambrose Lambert told reporters after the game.
