On his historic day, the 32-year-old right fielder went 2 for 5 at the plate for the Reds.

The Cleveland Indians first baseman tore into Cincinnati for 5 hits in 5 at-bats to pace Indians to a 11-5 victory and wrote his name into the baseball record book.
The manager for the Reds bemoaned his pitching, saying, "We fell behind and weren't locating well. Once you get behind in the count, you have to make real good pitches, rather than good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today." He added, "Not to take anything away from Rangel, but bad location was the story of the ballgame. That's why we lost the game."
T. Rangel doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 7th.
This season Rangel has hit at a .304 clip with 83 RBIs, 7 home runs and 98 runs scored. He has played in 149 games. | | Injuries | Player | Injury | Out for... | Disabled List Status | 1B Ambrose Lambert | torn groin muscle | 11 months | 32 day(s) left (60-day DL) | 3B Dave Moore | concussion | 3 days | Not on DL | | Team Information | Record overall | 59-103, .364 PCT | Position in Division | 6th, 44.0 GB | Record at home | 27-54, .333 PCT | Record on the road | 32-49, .395 PCT | Record in X-inning games | 5-5, .500 PCT | Record in one-run games | 18-16, .529 PCT | Record versus LHP | 14-33, .298 PCT | Record versus RHP | 45-70, .391 PCT | Record last 10 games | 3-7, .300 PCT | Record in April | 12-13, .480 PCT | Record in May | 15-13, .536 PCT | Record in June | 7-20, .259 PCT | Record in July | 8-17, .320 PCT | Record in August | 8-21, .276 PCT | Record in September | 9-18, .333 PCT | Record in October | 0-1, .000 PCT |
