The 34-year-old second baseman had a hand in the Cincinnati Reds 8-3 victory with 1 home run and 2 runs batted in. For the day he went 2 hits-4 at-bats.
At the press conference after the game, Seager downplayed his achievement.
"Obviously, I've hit 300 home runs so I belong in that 300 Club. But when you talk about the other guys that have done it, I'm not as good as they were. Those guys were the greatest of all time. I've just been able to scrape together some good years and stayed healthy and gotten there."
Seager currently has a career .313 batting average with 2309 hits, good for 300 home runs, 1299 RBIs and 1443 runs. |  | Saturday, September 13th, 2031: Story Belts Bunch of Base Hits Trevor Story really sizzled at the plate in today's 16-9 win over Reds. The Seattle second baseman blistered Cincinnati for 5 hits in 6 at-bats.
"Story was too tough to get out today," the Reds skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too."
T. Story hit an RBI single in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
