|Thursday, April 25th, 2030: Faulkner Cracks 5 Hits|
Today the Marlins downed the Reds 17-3 as Chris Faulkner sprayed hits all over Pro Player Stadium in a 5-hit explosion, finishing up with 5 hits in 5 at-bats.
The Floride catcher said to SION reporters in the postgame interview, "It makes it easier if you get a good pitch. The odds are in your favor then, not the pitcher's. I got a bunch of very pretty pitches to hit today, and I didn't miss any of them."
C. Faulkner hit a solo-shot off B. Snell in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, tripled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and hit a GRAND SLAM off K. Davis in the 8th.
For 2030 Faulkner is hitting .338 with 3 home runs. His stats include 12 RBIs and 14 runs scored.

The Floride Marlins were dealt a serious blow when the team learned that Alex Wood was likely to be out for 1-2 weeks after he injured himself throwing a pitch in today's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. A round of tests by the team doctors revealed the injury to be a tender elbow. Upon learning of their diagnosis, the Floride manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries--they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Alex is back in action."
