Thursday, April 25th, 2030: Faulkner Cracks 5 Hits
Today the Marlins downed the Reds 17-3 as Chris Faulkner sprayed hits all over Pro Player Stadium in a 5-hit explosion, finishing up with 5 hits in 5 at-bats.

The Floride catcher said to SION reporters in the postgame interview, "It makes it easier if you get a good pitch. The odds are in your favor then, not the pitcher's. I got a bunch of very pretty pitches to hit today, and I didn't miss any of them."

C. Faulkner hit a solo-shot off B. Snell in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, tripled in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and hit a GRAND SLAM off K. Davis in the 8th.

For 2030 Faulkner is hitting .338 with 3 home runs. His stats include 12 RBIs and 14 runs scored.
Sunday, April 21st, 2030: Career Over! Major Injury Strikes Reed
The expression on his face said it all when shortstop Donald Reed was injured in a game against Cleveland. You could tell that this was no minor injury. Reed was examined quickly by the team doctor and immediately rushed to the local hospital. After several tests, the diagnosis was a fractured skull, and in this case, it means his career is over.

The Floride Marlins issued the following statement:

"It is with great sadness to see Donald leave the game so soon. He was a great competitor and teammate and we are sure he will stick around in some capacity with our team."

In 18 games Reed is hitting .333 this season for the Marlins with 21 hits, 1 home run, 8 RBIs, 1 walk, .338 OBP and has scored 8 runs .
Saturday, March 30th, 2030: Alex Wood Hurt, Out of Action
The Floride Marlins were dealt a serious blow when the team learned that Alex Wood was likely to be out for 1-2 weeks after he injured himself throwing a pitch in today's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. A round of tests by the team doctors revealed the injury to be a tender elbow. Upon learning of their diagnosis, the Floride manager told the press, "As you all know, we can't control injuries--they are a part of the game. We just have to do the best we can until Alex is back in action."
