|Sunday, June 13th, 2027: Great Stroke! Bryant Gets 5 Hits!|
History in the making. That's what the fans at Kingdome / Safeco Field got to see today, when Seattle outplayed the Giants 5-2. Kris Bryant of the Mariners came to the plate 5 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 5 hits against San Francisco.
In the postgame press conference the San Francisco skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink."
K. Bryant singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, tripled in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off T. Morgan in the 9th.
In 2027 Bryant is batting .323 with 10 home runs.

San Francisco announced that they have signed 29-year-old starting pitcher Héctor García to a 4-year, $11,675,000 agreement that will have him playing at 3Com Park for the foreseeable future.
So far in 12 starts this season, García has recorded 7 wins and sustained 3 losses. He has pitched 69.1 innings, yielded 62 hits, fanned 43 and has a 3.63 ERA.

Medical officials from the San Francisco Giants reported that the club's 30-year-old right fielder, Andrew Benintendi, suffered a dislocated finger in yesterday's matchup against the San Diego Padres while making a defensive play. Benintendi is expected to miss 1-2 weeks of action.
This season Benintendi is swinging the bat at a .340 pace. He has hit 7 home runs and scored 35 times, while driving in 19. His on-base percentage is .444 and he has played in 36 games.
