Friday, April 26th, 2030: Rosario Socks It to Dodgers, Cracks 5 Hits
Who needs batting practice? Amed Rosario of San Francisco apparently doesn't as he peppered Los Angeles with a 5-hit outburst in today's game. He got the hits, but lost the game. The Dodgers pulled out a 14-13 win.
He told the press after the game, "And I didn't even take BP today. I think I have been taking too many swings before game and decided to take a day off. Wow, this was really something... a 5 for 5 day... will my name be in the record books now?"
One of his teammates hollered out, "No, only if your team wins the game!"
A. Rosario singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off A. García in the 9th.
A look at his 2030 stats shows Rosario with a .429 average, 6 home runs, 30 RBIs and 18 runs scored. He has played in 22 games.
Saturday, April 20th, 2030: Super Swinger! Tellez Slams 5 Hits!
Ryan Tellez was on fire today and sparked his club to a 15-11 victory over the Giants. The Chicago first baseman was a tough out and went 5 for 6 against San Francisco in a fine hitting display.
"I got my pitches and I connected. They all found the right holes on the diamond. Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody...and some days they fall in."
R. Tellez hit an RBI single in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, struck out in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off T. Morgan in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off S. Woods in the 8th.

Thursday, March 28th, 2030: Giants Lose Sewell for 8 Months
Joe Sewell at first refused to leave today's San Diego-San Francisco game after he suffered a torn rotator cuff muscle while throwing a pitch. But his manager convinced him not to be foolish. "I'm a competitor," the feisty San Francisco reliever said. "I'll play through just about anything." Given time to reflect on the situation, he knew it was in his best interest to get immediate treatment. The injury is expected to keep Sewell out of action for 8 months.
