Sunday, July 8th, 2035: 5 Hits for Mariners Walsh
"It was like I was hitting little league pitching," said Bryan Walsh after his 5-hit performance against the Giants. "No offense meant to San Francisco, but I could see the ball that well. But this wasn't a kid league park, it was Kingdome / Safeco Field!"

The Seattle right fielder had a fantastic day at the plate, knocking out 5 hits in 6 at-bats and pacing his club to a 16-13 victory.

His manager elaborated after the game to the press, saying, "Bryan worked the entire offseason on trying to shorten his swing and stay inside the ball and the hard work is paying off in base hits."

"That's what I'm trying to do," Walsh said. "Be quick to the ball and let it travel a little farther so I get a better look at it."

B. Walsh flied out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off M. Biron in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off P. Arnold in the 8th.

This year Walsh has hit at a .338 pace and produced 49 RBIs, 13 home runs and scored 71 runs.

Friday, June 22nd, 2035: Hot Hitter! Greene Blisters St. Louis!
Jud Greene found a groove in today's game versus St. Louis and notched his name in the league record book. His 5 for 5 performance at the plate unfortunately wasn't enough, as the San Francisco Giants lost the game 16-5.

The 25-year-old center fielder told the press, "It was one of those days, when everything clicked. I made solid contact and the ball dropped in. But we dropped the game. End of story."

J. Greene tripled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

Greene is batting .392 this season in 50 games with 1 home run, 16 RBIs and 28 runs scored. He has 62 hits in 158 at-bats.

Thursday, June 21st, 2035: Albright Torches Marlins for 5 Hits
It was high-5 day at 3Com Park, at least for Zach Albright of the San Francisco Giants. He got a lot of high-5's from his teammates for his outstanding hitting against the Floride Marlins. Albright smashed 5 hits in 5 at-bats on a his record-setting day, leading his club to a 12-8 win.

His manager said, "Zach was hitting everything. It really was a special game for him."

In the other dugout the opposing manager told SION beat writers, "He ambushed my boys today. Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but luckily, tomorrow is another day. Hopefully it will be our day to shine."

Z. Albright hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off M. Goodwin in the 4th, hit an RBI triple in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off E. Román in the 8th.

In 2035 Albright has put up a .302 batting average with 85 hits, 21 home runs and 71 RBIs.
