After the Texas 18-4 victory over Detroit and his 5-hit day third baseman Charlie Culberson told SION beat writers, "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college ball, two hits in a game is very good...three or four hits even better...5 or more are out of sight...and if it is in pro ball...it is really something special. It will get you in the record books."
The 28-year-old player gained that distinction today at The Ballpark at Arlington with a spectacular 5 for 5 game against the Detroit Tigers.
