Monday, September 6th, 2027: AL Star of the Week Picked
This week's Player of the Week was Yasmany Tomas of the New York Yankees.

His big bat beat up on American pitching for 14 hits in 24 at-bats, 4 home runs, and 9 RBIs while hitting .583 and scoring 10 runs.

This year Tomas is batting .305 with 160 hits, 35 home runs, 98 RBIs, 33 walks, .362 OBP and has scored 100 runs.
Wednesday, September 1st, 2027: American Announces Top Starter
José Guzmán had an outstanding August -- so good that the American presented him with the Pitcher of the Month Award earlier today.

"There's no way to know where the Yankees would be without Guzmán," one fan is quoted as saying.

In August Guzmán dominated the competition, running up a 5-0 record, a 3.19 ERA and 26 strikeouts in 42.1 innings.

In 20 starts this season Guzmán has rung up a 8-8 record and a 4.70 ERA.
Saturday, August 28th, 2027: Big Day with Bat, Harris 5-5
"Ever since I picked up my first bat my coaches were always saying to keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing... just make contact and ya never know what'll happen," Toronto's Jason Harris told reporters after the game. "That's all I did today. I made contact and it turned out well."

It definitely turn out well for Harris today as he collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats against New York. It turned out well for his team, too, as the Blue Jays knocked off the Yankees 10-8 at Skydome.

J. Harris hit a two-run single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off F. Ramos in the 9th.

Harris is hitting .312 this season with 11 home runs, 64 RBIs and 69 runs scored. He has 131 hits in 420 at-bats.
