Tuesday, October 4th, 2033: St. Louis Retains Springer
George Springer inked a deal that will keep the seasoned veteran on the Cardinals roster another 2 years. Earlier today team personnel announced that the 36-year-old had settled on a $14,000,000-per-year deal to play at Busch Stadium II.

It's no secret Springer is getting older, but he could still contribute a lot to the franchise.

So far this season Springer is batting .296 with 37 home runs.
Sunday, October 2nd, 2033: 2500-th Hit for Springer!
George Springer of the St. Louis Cardinals collected career hit number 2500 against the Texas Rangers today. The 36-year-old right fielder went 1 for 4 in a 5-4 St. Louis victory at Busch Stadium II.

Springer has a lifetime average of .313, played in 2113 games and collected 535 home runs and 1735 RBIs.
Tuesday, September 27th, 2033: Thomas Bangs Out 5 Base Hits
Lane Thomas was on fire today and sparked his club to a 17-15 victory over the Cardinals. The Detroit center fielder was a tough out and went 5 for 5 against St. Louis in a fine hitting display.

"I got my pitches and I connected. They all found the right holes on the diamond. Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody...and some days they fall in."

L. Thomas singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

Currently Thomas is batting .354 with 110 hits and 10 home runs. He has knocked in 47 runs and scored 50 times.
